Our Story

Glimmer Tech was founded in 2014 by Rachel Thompson, a former welfare rights advisor who saw firsthand how many eligible people were missing out on crucial financial support simply because the system was too complex to navigate alone.

After spending years working in local council welfare rights teams, Rachel recognized a troubling pattern. People with legitimate needs were being denied benefits not because they didn't qualify, but because their applications were incomplete, poorly worded, or lacked the right supporting evidence. Others never applied at all, overwhelmed by forms that seemed designed to confuse rather than help.

What started as evening consultations helping neighbors and friends soon grew into a full-time practice. Word spread about someone who could actually make sense of DWP letters, who understood what assessors were looking for, and who could turn rejections into approvals.

Today, we're a team of twelve specialists serving clients throughout England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. We've supported over eight thousand people, securing millions in benefits that make real differences to daily life.
